Introduction to Fossil Fuels
Fossil fuel, also known as fossil fuel, is a mixture of hydrocarbons or derivatives of hydrocarbons, including natural resources such as coal, oil and natural gas. Fossil fuels are non-renewable resources formed from the remains of ancient organisms through a series of complex changes.
The use of fossil fuels enables large-scale industrial development, replacing waterwheels. When generating electricity, energy is produced in the process of burning fossil fuels, which drive turbines to generate power. Older generators used steam to drive turbines. At present, many power stations have adopted gas turbine engines, which use gas to directly drive turbines.
